Seattle is a beautiful city to visit any time of the year, but it is incredible to see in the spring. If you are planning to travel throughout the U.S this spring in RV rentals, Seattle should be one of your top destinations to visit.
Seattle and its surroundings are full of gorgeous recreational and park areas that are fantastic to visit when flowers are blooming, the weather is amazing, and there is a lot to be done.
One park that is a favorite amongst locals and visitors alike is Seward Park where visitors can see beautiful cherry trees in full bloom and admire the beauty of these Japanese trees. If you have children, it is also an excellent destination for them to play and visit the park’s center that will help them to learn more about nature.
Another park that you should stop by with your kids when you visit in the spring is Jefferson Park. From tennis courts to spray parks, there are a number of options for your little ones to enjoy, which we are sure they will especially appreciate after many hours of travel. It also has amazing views for you to admire and great playgrounds that the kids will have a blast playing in.
If it’s just you and your honey, Seward Park may be a lovely experience or if you like golf, Jefferson Park also has an excellent golf course.
Some other reasons for you to visit Seattle in the spring are the festivals. If you like performing arts, you will appreciate the Moisture Festival which is a showcase of talented performers ranging from jugglers to comedians, musicians, dancers and more.
For those who enjoy festivals with a variety of activities for both children and parents, you will appreciate the Seattle Green Festival which offers music, activities for your little ones, and even has great vegetarian dishes for you to try as you enjoy the great weather and friendly atmosphere.
If you like flowers and being outdoors, you will appreciate the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Just imagine the amazing display of tulips of all colors in open fields. It is definitely something that you have to see and make sure to bring your camera.
Seattle is the type of city where you will never run out of things to do and it is also home to some pretty cool sites, both natural and manmade.
Most people enjoy visiting the Space Needle. It’s kind of the equivalent for Seattle that the Eiffel Tower is for Paris; you have to go see it, because “just because.” Beyond that, it also provides you with an incredible view from the top where you can see the mountains in the distance, the city, and the water. It is definitely worth your time, especially if you are able to visit when the sun is setting.
Another attraction that is high on the list of must-visits is a natural one. Granted, it is a 2 and a half hour trip to Mount Rainer from Seattle, but if you are traveling in an RV, it will be a short and comfortable one. This beautiful mountain with its glaciers, flowers in the spring, and waterfalls is worth visiting if you are in the area, and one you will be happy you took the time to see.
